Ethernet throughput seems to spike up high

Ethernet throughput on my PC seems to spike up really high at some points, then dies down. When is spikes it seems like my internet cuts out for a second (livestream buffers and I get dropped out of programs like mumble). This usually happens when i open a new program or start downloading.

Solved Fx 8350 and GTX 1050 TI low performance

From the root of the problem, I'm pretty sure my pc was being thermal throttled because it was getting way to hot with the stock cooler, so when i got the coolermaster it is much better. I also overclocked to 4.4 Ghz, and i'm pretty sure it's stable because i let prime95 run for about 8 hours...

My motherboard, MSI 970a gaming pro carbon, has an OC genie or something, should I use that for Overclocking?

Solved Fx 8350 and GTX 1050 TI low performance

Okay Update: I got the Coolermaster 212, the temps dropped around 20 C both idle and gaming, but the fps increase is only around 10-15. Do you guys think overclocking is a good or bad idea, keeping in mind that I've never done it before?

Solved Fx 8350 and GTX 1050 TI low performance

I already tried applying paste, so I guess i should buy a cpu cooler. This one is good right? https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Direct-Contact-Unique/dp/B01KBXKP8W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494134751&sr=8-1&keywords=Cooler+Master+Hyper+212+LED+CPU+Cooler

Nothing has changed...the temps are still high and performance is not the best. Would getting a better CPU cooler help cool the whole system and get better results? EDIT: While gaming, the temps for both CPU and motherboard Temps are reaching high 60s low 70s, do you think it's throttling?

Solved Fx 8350 and GTX 1050 TI low performance

I'm not overclocking anything, because i'm using the stock cooler. The drivers should all be up to date (they say they are on nvidia geforce experience), and I have high performance on my power options. When I saw the numbers with HW monitor, the utilization percentages were always low for both...

Solved Fx 8350 and GTX 1050 TI low performance

Hi, I can't do that at the moment, but a few days ago using Speccy, the idle temp for the cpu was about 35-40C, and the motherboard was around 55C. When running a game like CS:GO for a few minutes the cpu temps were like 55C and the motherboard peaks around 70C

They never stated, but are the temps really getting to a point that would hinder performance? The CPU seems okay, but I'm not sure why the motherboard temps are so high
