hard drive icon missing

Hi, I need help. after booting up my pc I notice that the icon on the local c drive has changed and now looks like a folder. I have tried everything to get everything back to normal but I have not succeeded, you are my only hope. please help me.

thank you but i have already try this and it don’t work

reboot the PC into Safe Mode and see what the icon is then.
also create another user account and login under that profile and see if it changes back to normal then.
