Strange Icon on Taskbar

I had a starnge icon on my taskbar. I didn’t seem to do anything. Can anyone explain? See attached file.

It might help if we knew what type of computer we are dealing with, is it a brand name or a custom build.

In addition to the above, do you connect any external devices to your computer, another screen, external drive etc.

Have you saved any internet short cuts to the desktop recently.

To get rid of the icon, have you tried right clicking on it and then selecting unpin from taskbar.
