Hi guys. Firstly, let me thank the Admin of this forum for allowing me in as a member. I’m from South Africa and are 23 years short of turning 100! I’m really looking forward chatting with you guys on various technical issues. Secondly, my heart is broken. I have been on Computing.net for 23 years and had made friends with the most amazing guys and then…poof! the website is gone!! Does anybody know what happened there and is there a plan B there? I would love to meet up with them again in some other forum. But I am now with you guys and am really looking forward to chatting with you.

as to computing.net, looks like they shutdown months ago.
hard to find any reason why on the web.
I guess like most forums, it was paid for and run by volunteers.
