I'm trying to boot into a bootable iso disc. Entering Toshiba's boot menu, the boot options is disabled. The arrow keys wont scroll that section at all. It might be that on the main bios section, Bios Supervisor password is set. But I don't know what that is. I've Googled and found it can often be "Toshiba". Not that I can present that here. But I've tried to using "Toshiba HW Setup". It doesn't retain settings.

I honestly am ready to wipe and reset the whole machine, can I do a system reset? Wipe the computer? I have a bootable Linux disc so am ready to just install that afresh.

There are numerous versions of the Tecra so you need to tell us the exact version that you have.

What is the bootable ISO that you are trying to use.

You can`t change the boot settings without logging in using the Supervisor password.

How come you don't know the BIOS password.

It's a Toshiba Tecra R950-1CL.

The bootable iso is on an SD card, and is Linux Mint.

I bought the laptop around 5 years ago on eBay. Have never had to go into the bios before.

Am only doing so now, as I see Windows 11 will stop getting updates later this year, and am happy to just solely have Linux on the machine.

Not finding anything when inserting -1CL on the end.

Have you seen the changing the boot sequence info here

The Supervisor password is something that we cannot help with even if we wanted to as it is against forum rules.
