So, last month I ran an update on my pc. The update was only completed halfway then my screen froze and after turning it on and off again multiple times it reverted back to the old version. Don't really care about that but, since that failed update I can't restart my pc, I can only shut off then turn on. I can't use a lot of my apps (most of them were active when my pc was updating. I can't even go into some of my settings anymore.
Obviously very frustrated with that i tried reverting it back to factory settings after a couple of other failed fixes, but that also doesn't work. This really annoys me because I don't see which other options I have to fix this.

The anomalies I had when I did the update:
- just installed extra ram and this was the first update since installing.
- Disk space might have been on the low end
- Forcefully shut down my pc after the update was seemingly stuck after 4 to 5 hours

Any help would be greatly apreciated!

That would cause such behaviour.

If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
