I am absolutly pulling my hair out on this one, I've tried everything but no to success. When the gpu is plugged in, the output dies and the screen goes black. No input from the mouse or anything is possible but music played will continue. Killing the pc and restarting brings it back instantly, but it then just goes again. I've had the GPU replaced, same issue. Could it be software? Some kind of wierd driver issue? How would that kill the input from the mouse and keys? Ive move the GPU around and I have the same issue. Plugging the screen into the motherboard HDMI after removing the GPU seems to make the PC run perfectly, but I had the GPU replaced and this is a brand new different one. I have just no idea. Would be really grateful for any help!
Thank you!

So when the GPU is in I plug in a HDMI and a displayport - WHen the issue occurs, both go black instantly. Ive currently got the HDMI in the motherboard input, which seems to run.

Have you tried fully uninstalling the display drivers, rebooting, then reinstalling them? If so, what were the results?

Do you have the same issue within safe mode?

There are no GPU issues, for the earlier card it worked perfectly for like 11 months before the issue began. Drivers I get from Geforce experience.
I actually don't know about safe mode, I shall have a look this evening. I havn't tried fully uninstalling the display drivers, lost internet this weekend because of a router issue so couldnt get hold of them again! Will try safe made tongiht and see the effect. WIll update, cheers so far everyone!

So other can assist let's get some better system specs.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
