I recently bought a custom PC and previously had a Mac. With my mac (before it died) I used to use my Turtle Beach XO Four gaming headset with no problems with both the mic and headphones working. Since getting the custom PC, the microphone does not work. The headset has a single male 3.5mm output and I have bought a 3.5mm 4 pole plug to 2 x 3.5mm socket lead (https://www.jaycar.com.au/3-5mm-4-pole-plug-to-2-x-3-5mm-socket-lead-250mm/p/WA7020) to hopefully fix the issue but have had no success. I have uninstalled all realtek drivers and installed up to date versions and I am still having the problem. I seem to get a tiny amount of input when I look at the recording devices in the sound manager, but no matter how much I boost this it remains quiet. PLEASE help. I have spent hours in the past week and bought multiple different cords hoping to fix this issue without any success.
Also, it may be important to note that my headset has a unpluggable microphone attachment. I have unplugged this attachment and plugged it in separately just as a microphone and it works, so I really do not understand what the issue is considering the driver updates I have done. Here is a link to the headset I have if that is any help. I don't know too much about computers and I'm very frustrated lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
