Hi,

So I have a 2 monitor setup, both 1440p (one 60hz, and one 144hz). I just recently built my new setup (specs below) and it was working perfectly. From out of nowhere my games started to lag, but only when I am watching YouTube, or Twitch on my 2nd monitor, and my game is running in FULLSCREEN mode on my main monitor. If I switch the game to borderless window it is better. But this problem also occurs when I am running OBS and trying to record some gameplay (and I didn't had any problems with it before).
Any ideas what happened?

PC SPECS:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI
CPU: Intel® Core™ i9-10900K
GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 GAMING
RAM: 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 RAM Kingston HyperX Predator CL17 (2X16GB)
SSD1: 500GB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 SSD
SSD2: 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT
PSU: Corsair HX1000i

Thank you for trying to help!

When the issue started, did you add any more peripherals to your pc? Other programs running than what you mentioned?

I haven't really thought about it, but maybe, just maybe, it started around when I installed my Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro to a PCIe port. I will uninstall that card tomorrow, just to try. Other than that I don't remember adding more peripherals.

Update: it has nothing to do with the capture card...

Other (maybe interesting) info: there is no problem when playing Minecraft. Looks like this happens only when I am playing DirectX games? I attached a GPU log info while playing Rocket League.

have you tried the full reinstall of Windows yet?
while it'll be the long way around, it will allow you to start from a clean slate, and add one game at a time until you identify the culprit.

Is DirectX up to date?
What about the graphics card/s - is this component‘s driver up to date?
Everything is up to date!

I'll do it in a couple days, I can't really do it now because of work, but when I do I will let this thread know.

Thank you guys for trying to help!

If you have a lot of files & programs you can always image the drive using Macrium Reflect, then clean install Windows, find the problem game as Bruce says & then restore the image & uninstall the game.

Sorry but not how this forum works.

To avoid us having to ask for an update every couple of days we will close this thread until the OP has the time available to work towards resolving the issue, PM a member of staff when you are ready and the thread can be reopened.
