    Booting up a Wi-fi dongle

    I have a 5 year old windows 7 pc with an integral Ethernet controller on the motherboard. A Lightening strike took out router and the Ethernet hardware / chip. I bought and installed a usb Wi-fi dongle to connect to my replaced router as I had no wish to replace the motherboard I am struggling...
