    Drive partitions...why are files misssing from original drives after adding a new drive?

    I know nothing about computers so I shouldn't have even attempted this, however I tried to follow some instructions online. So the initial problem was my external hard drive was showing in the background (in devices and printers) but not in file explorer so I couldn't open it so see my files...
