    Solved i5-7500 running past base speed constantly

    I recently noticed my i5-7500 runs at a speed of 3.6ghz when only using about 15% or 25%, i'm not sure why this is, my cpu has a base speed of 3.4ghz and a max turbo of 3.8ghz. (I also have enhanced intel speed step enabled and intel turbo boost) My question is should it be running this way...

    Solved Intel cpu turbo boost not working

    currently have i5 7500 @3.4ghz it says it can be turbo boosted to 3.8ghz ive checked bios and turbo boost is enabled both task manager and cpu z only show it running at 3.4ghz, i also have my power options set to high performance currently have z270 gaming m3 msi motherboard i just want turbo...
