Work vpn

Howdy! So I know next to nothing about any of this stuff so hopefully someone can explain this to me.

I'm starting a remote job in 2 weeks and the company provides a pc. I was hoping to be able to work from somewhere other than the US from time to time. Apparently there is a vpn on the computer, so am I correct in assuming I can't use my own vpn router? What are the chances they'll even notice? This is an entry level call center job for customer support for a CC company.

Any info or advice would be appreciated.

g'day Chompy and welcome.

due to Rule #15, found in Terms and Rules at the bottom of this page, we cannot offer advice on business related issues.

being a work PC, they are the guys to talk to.
if they want you to do what you are chasing, they'll be more than happy to accommodate your request.

working in the IT department all my life, we set users PC's up in a certain way for a reason and not many things tick us off more than when users try to circumvent the standard operating environment we created. :)
