Solved WindowsApps Sub folder permissions issue

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hello, I had the xbox game pass app, I am no longer using it and there is a sub folder within the WindowsApps folder from the game Metro:Exodus taking up 60 gb on my PC. At first, I could not delete the WindowsApps folder due to permission issues, but I made the necessary changes and was able to get rid of all but two sub folders. I am the only user on this computer, anytime I try to delete the folder D:\WindowsApps\DeepSilver.ProjectWindfall_1.0.19.0_x64__hmv7qcest37me
I am told I require permission from myself. I am unable to edit anything within the security settings. Cannot edit groups or usernames, cannot do anything within the advanced tab either. This is just bizarre to me, I was able to do this with the folder it resides in. The folder in question says I have full ownership over it. I've tried turning off my firewall and windows security, have also tried deleting it in safe mode. Any help is appreciated

Well, through much searching I found my answer... for future reference, I had to run this line from an elevated Powershell
Get-AppxPackage *ProjectWindfall* | Remove-AppxPackage
