Hello, i have problem with booting into my OS, yesterday i came home and wanted to turn on my PC, but only W10 logo appeared and nothing more, just black screen and after Few seconds monitor goes to sleep mode. When i get into safe mode, some strange purple stripe appeared, when i changed resolution it changed into bars with smaller green lines. I did everything i can, even did clean install of windows 10.

Hello TakeItEazY,

If the problem is the exact same after a clean install of Windows it suggests a hardware issue.

RAM- 8GB HyperX CL10

Is this a single 8GB stick or two 4GB sticks.

Try removing the GPU and RAM, blow out the slots, then reseat both, test then post back with an update.

NB: You should also check that the PC to screen video cable is secure connected at both ends and that the cable is not damaged.

OK il try to clean slots when i Come home. I have tried to change Hdmi cable. Strange IS that windows boot in safe but not regularly. Can this be caused by gpu?

Can you answer this for us.

Sorry but I am a bit confused.

You mentioned that in Safe Mode you got "some strange purple stripe appeared, when i changed resolution it changed into bars with smaller green lines." and the same after you had done a clean install of Windows, only the bare minimum of Windows drivers are loaded in Safe Mode which rules out third party drivers and there are no third party drivers present after you have done a clean install of Windows.

Will the computer boot into Windows once you have done a clean install of just Windows (no third party software installed whatsoever) or will it still only boot into Safe Mode.

Im installing win from usb stick, that OC IS premade when bought it in store so it IS in its name of GPU. Now i have finaly found really old gpu And tried it And windows booted normally. Any idea what IS wrong with my r9?

It is possible your GPU has died, now that you have Windows working why not try and reinstall the R9 and see if it boots ok. Depending on the power requirements of your "really old gpu" it could even be your PSU that is faulty?

I have got everything new in my pc but gpu do i bet thats the problem. When i wanted to install the r9 drivers it wont let me do that because of that drivers i want to install arent supposed for my old gpu.

PSU- 650W Corsair

The PSU output is not adequate for an Asus Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC as it requires a minimum of a good quality brand 750W PSU with a minimum of 42 amps on the +12V rail, you do not tell us which range of Corsair 650W PSU it is so but fwiw when using a high end video card you should make sure that you don't skimp on the PSU and only use a Gold efficiency or above rated PSU to support the GPU and other hardware.

Chances are that using the underpowered PSU has damaged your R9, we cannot comment on the other GPU that you tried as we do not know what it is and so cannot check its power requirements.
