Please go HERE and download the portable version of Speccy. Save it to somewhere you can find, locate the file and as it comes as a Zip file use your favorite unzip application to decompress it. Open the newly created folder and double left click Speccy.exe if you have a 32 bit system or Speccy64.exe if yours is 64bit. If you are not sure what your system is click HERE. This guide compiled by Gus.

Speccy will open and after a short wait will display a summary of your system specs.
  1. Click on the file menu.
  2. Then click Publish snapshot.

A dialogue box will ask you to confirm, select yes.

Another dialogue box will open
  1. Click Copy to Clipboard.
  2. Then click Close.

Now that your link has been copied please paste it into your next post. It should look something like the example below:)

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/6waAHapcLrZIVPakgxXXXXXXX

BTW: once you have finished with speccy and no longer want it removing it is easy because it is a portable app with no install. Simply delete the downloaded file and folder you created when you decompressed it. Gone:thumbsup:

Not sure if the two are related but something is hogging your RAM, open Task Manager, click on the Memory tab, give it a moment or two to settle down then make a note of what is shown to be using the most RAM.

RAM
Memory
Size: 8126 MBytes
Physical Memory
Memory Usage: 62 %

Is your RAM a single 8GB stick or two Xs 4GB sticks.

After installing Windows did you also install the drivers for the MB and starting with the chipset drivers first.

Sorry but that is totally the wrong driver, Microsoft do not provide chipset drivers for MBs only the board manufacturers can and do, after installing Windows the chipset drivers for the MB must be installed as it enables other drivers to be installed more effectively.

In addition to the above, other than the chipset and add on GPUs Windows 10 does real well at using its own generic drivers for regular hardware such as HDDs, keyboards and mice etc.

The chipset driver you want is Version 1.7.29.0115 release date 2019/08/02 and you can download it from here

You will not have your previous performance back until you have the RAM back running in dual channel which going off the RAM specs you post in your OP means the RAM will only be running at circa 1500MHz atm.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.

Microsoft do not provide the driver for the chipset as has been explained, the drivers in your post #5 pictures are not for the motherboards chipset they are SATA drivers for storage devices such as hard drives or SSDs which Microsoft do provide.

No worries (y)

my boot time is still the same speed :/
As per my reply #6;

You will not have your previous performance back until you have the RAM back running in dual channel which going off the RAM specs you post in your OP means the RAM will only be running at circa 1500MHz atm.
Keep in mind that you will not get the same performance that you had when having either 16 or 32GB of RAM, your performance is cut in half when running in single channel mode.

You may need to start again with installing the drivers, this would mean uninstalling the present drivers and then starting afresh by installing the chipset drivers first, please note that not all drivers are compatible with Windows and if Windows does not like any driver it will not let you install them, below is my canned information regarding drivers, have a read when you get a moment.

Lets see what drivers are installed on the computer;

Download and run DriverView which you can get from here

Save the results to text and attach to your next reply for us if you will.

Once Windows has been installed, you install the necessary drivers for the MB and other hardware and then leave well alone, drivers should not be allowed to auto update and you should never update any driver/s unless the new drivers are intended to resolve a specific issue that you are having, installing new drivers unnecessarily can actually cause you the very issues that any new drivers are intended to resolve and uninstalling the new drivers may not resolve the problem/s that installing the new drivers has caused.

Depending on priority it can take many months before the driver provider releases any fix and they sometimes do not even bother.

There is no sign of the driver that I linked to having been installed.

What we can see is Avast, can I ask why you have this installed when you have the better Windows Defender and Firewall available, Avast has become such a resource hog that no one recommends it any more only Avast.

Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 come with an improved Windows Defender, it offers the same real-time anti-virus/anti-malware protection as Microsoft Security Essentials. Windows Defender also shares the same malware signature definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials, and Forefront Endpoint Protection. Technically, Microsoft Security Essentials has not been renamed Windows Defender, or combined with it in Windows 8, 8.1 and 10.

Having more than one AV installed on your computer is bad, it will slow down the computer, cause internet connection problems and leave you with no AV protection at all if they cancel each other out as they fight for resources.

If any AV product that you have is a paid for version you should always make sure that you have a copy of the product key kept somewhere safe just in case you ever wish to reinstall it.

You can uninstall Avast in the Control Panel but should you have any problems see Avast clean removal info here Please create a new system restore point first.

It was a good AV once upon a time but it comes with all sorts of unwanted extras such as security plug in that slow down a computer.

If you go back to your reply #3 and check, Avast was not on your computer when you post the Speccy url last Thursday.

No need to reinstall Windows, just install the chipset driver and nothing else.

Tip
If using a computer and not a mobile phone, please avoid adding multiple posts while waiting for us to reply to your last, edit your last post to include anything that you wish to add, this will ensure nothing gets overlooked which can sometimes happen if a thread has more than one page, it avoids filling up folks inbox and last but not least it amounts to bumping your thread which puts folk to the bottom of any reply list.
