When the Wifi adapter loses connection, I can no longer see any network in range. The only way it will see and connect to my wifi is to reset the adapter and it will see all available networks again.

I am still using the USB dongle since my last post without issue.

How did things do with the Dongle?

Try re seating the WiFi card be careful of the wires they are brittle.

Remember to discharge the system completely and yourself otherwise you may end up with a expensive door stop.
Like I stated if you do not feel comfortable then take it to a shop that can other wise you may end up with a door stop.

Look through the information here.

Years ago I had to open a 2004 Dell Inspiron to upgrade CPU and RAM. From that link, this newer model seems to have much less "digging" to get to the cards. I should have no problem opening this model.

I can just order a replacement since they are rather cheap. This is an exact replacement from newegg. Would you recommend upgrading to a better card, if so, which would you suggest?

I been pretty busy lately. I'm not going to have time to open the laptop up for a while. If you need to close this post, go ahead.

After I swap the part, I can always start a new post and link to this one if I need assistance correct?
