Ok so you have saved the file to your desktop, doing so will not have opened the file. Can we just be sure the Fixlist.txt file is on your desktop? Please check and let me know.

Now follow this from my earlier post

To run the fix right click the FRST icon and choose "Run as Administrator" then click on "Fix"

cp0349X.jpg

Depending on the amount of data to be moved it may take a few minutes to complete, and the computer may reboot. When the fix is complete and/or the computer has rebooted the "Fixlist.txt" file you created will be renamed "Fixlog.txt"

Please COPY and PASTE the contents of this new fixlog.txt file in your next post:)

Are you sure you havent changed it all?

Delete the fixlist.txt file you have on your desktop and save this again to your desktop.

Thank you for that.

Can you please open your chrome browser

Click the 3 dots to the right hand end of your URL address bar

Click on "More Tools"

Then click on "Extensions"

You should now see a page with all your Chrome extensions listed

See if there is anything AVAST related, and if there is click the remove button for it. If another confirmation box asks you to confirm the removal, also click remove in that box.

Then can you please get another speccy report ( and post it) as per @phillpower2 instructions in post two of this thread?

Can you do the following so that we are fully up to date with as to what needs doing;

Uninstall Chrome and temporarily use Edge as your default browser.

Get Windows/Windows Defender fully up to date.

Post a new Speccy url.

Let us know what particular issues are still outstanding.
