What's your preferred browser?

I've been pretty committed to Firefox for some time now (mainly because I have a lot of bookmarks saved) and I was just curious to know who favors what browser and why? What is the most popular/highly rated browser?

There are many good mozilla based browsers that allow the freedoms that Firefox chose to remove. Unfortunately Cyberfox, a good browser, is facing demise unless it is reserrected by a new developer. Waterfox is a great browser and regularly updated. Your data can be copied from Firefox to either of the above browsers too.

Opera is also a first rate browser, and by default has a built in free VPN.

Palemoon. It is based on RR ESR v 38, before the Australis theme.
I also use FF ESR which doesn't update every 4 - 6 weeks and only gets security patches, not all the cosmetic changes.

Firefox for me - for many, many a year.
never been a fan of Google, so Chrome is always low in my list.
each time FF makes a change I don't like, like Quantum (although that one I did actually like) I give other browsers a spin, most recent being SlimJet and Opera.
loved them both and used them for around two months but for some reason that know escapes me, I went back to the old and trusted FF.

I have my own start page with personalised HTML and Javascript and FF is the only browser that seems to follow most of the accepted standards the most.

Oh, and I just remembered the reason for leaving FF those months ago - it was when uBlock Origin had that hiccup and wasn't supporting Firefox's WebExtension change to UBO's, somewhere around uBlock v1.12 or something, took gorhill awhile to release a fix.

I see. I've started giving Chrome a chance again and it was simple to transfer all my bookmarks over from FF. I'll still be keeping FF in the pocket in case Chrome gives me any issues.

I'm changing my mind. Palemoon v 28 came out on August 16th. I tried updating one of the four Win 7 computers in the house. It refuses to even run.
FF Quantum will probably be my default browser if Moonchild doesn't fix v 28 of Palemoon.

Used Palemoon for ages some time back and found the developers very slow to react to issues, both Cyberfox and Waterfox are improvements to Palemoon, seem much more active with updates and will allow more freedom with my choice of extensions.

Chrome itself is a pretty secure browser, one of the best UNTIL you start adding extensions.
That's why you throw on uBlock Origin and call it a day. LastPass if you really have to.
Chrome for me. Rather have Chrome with one extension rather than Firefox with many.
