What is the better system for video editing

Hi,

I know none of them are really good for it but what is the better and what could I do to improve the better for video editing.

Novabench tests

I do mostly HD but sometimes will have 4K

These are the NovaBench results.

I am not sure why the Quadro GPU didn't register a score 5800

I would not recommend a Dell prebuilt for future-upgrading.

Their power-supplies, motherboards, and cases are usually proprietary and cannot be swapped out for non-Dell units.

For an editing rig, you'll want a good CPU, lots of ram, and a decent bit of storage. A good GPU will also help speed the process up.

Without seeing the prices, I cannot recommend any of these systems, however, the T7500 does seem to be on the more powerful end, but the 9020 has a better processor.

While these are things you can replace, remember that not everything is interchangeable with OEM machines.

Hi,

Thanks for the help and advise which I do value.

I have had these boxes for quite some time so wanted to use them as economy is shot since Covid and at the mo' can't spend on new boxes for it.

I was hoping that maybe upgrading the GPU would help with the rendering speed which is my main concern.

So it seems the CPU is the main help for rendering.

another thing you may want to look into is a Capture Card.

Without knowing any of the specs of the system that you are planning on getting and or have cannot say.

No, I will not click on links that are there for security reasons.

Include the make and models including the power supply unit. If you skimp on things, you may end up having a nice paperweight.
