@vger. Agreed. I'm confident it's good for gaming because besides the good specs, it says "ideal for gaming" & it got a good review by I think techradar. Just wanted to know how old the tech is. Has to be okay because a manufacturer is selling it today...

Video card works awesome !!! Graphics much improved over the integrated graphics. It's a refurbished 2009 Dell OptiPlex 960 I bought for 2007 ish games (mainly Crysis). Dell came w/ XP Pro & a 120GB SSD. Video card draws so little power; kept using the Dell 305 W PSU :D

Any updates for us?
Nope, but my max resolution inside Crysis game settings is only 1600x900. VisionTek specs say it can do 1900x1200. My monitor is 27" 1080p. What might be my bottleneck?

Is there an update for the video card?
Is the game detecting the card correctly?
Or it may be a compatibility issue with the old game vs new card or with the HDMI adapter.
Yes, the game plays fine with this video card.
Hmm, thanks. Gonna contact VisionTek. Hope I don't have to return it

Me: "Year 2009 Dell OptiPlex 960 MT. Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit. Core2Quad [email protected] 4GB RAM. 120GB SSD. Power supply 305 watt. Monitor LG Flatron M2780D 27 inch Full HD 1080p. Crysis game plays great & looks much improved over the integrated graphics but inside game settings tops out at 1600x900. Please advise on what my bottleneck is & how to achieve 1900x1200 resolution."

VisionTek: "The issue you are running into is that the game is setting optimal settings for you system specifications. Typically it is recommended to run optimal settings."

That's about it. He couldn't say what my bottleneck is. Currently thinking of "maybe" putting together a cheap LGA 775 or 1366 build just for Crysis, so I can achieve maximum resolution & more. Thank you.
