Solved VGA light Red on motherboard upon boot up

Hello all!
New PC Build! Was working fine until I removed the GPU to install some cable upgrades. The VGA light on motherboard lights up red when booting up and the PC won’t display a picture! PCIE latch clip also broke off prior to this happening, and the gpu is kinda wiggly when inserted now and doesn’t seem properly seated.

When booting, fans spin, aio, ram, gpu and everything lights up, but no display. if i go off of integrated graphics, it works fine. If I unplug the power cable from the GPU, the 4090 still lights up from the PCIE slot alone.

Basically, I’m not sure if it’s the PCIE slot being damaged, or the GPU is faulty. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

It’s for sure broken

Yep the 2nd slot didn’t work either. And I tested the 1st slot with my old 970 and it worked. Is there any fix or do I need to return the GPU?

One way to find out, try the GPU in the second PCI-E slot, if al is ok the primary PCI-E slot is hosed, if still no display the GPU is at fault.
