Hi all. I hope this is the right part of the forum to post this? If not, let me know and I'll repost elsewhere.

I've recently taken apart my old desktop and I'm wondering if I can use the hard drive and DVD player as externals with my laptop... are there cables available to connect via laptop USB, and will I need an external power supply (if so what cables please?)

HDD is Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB

The 2 DVD drives are both LG, one is GH22NS50 and the other is BH10LS30. The second one is Blu-Ray, and I don't have Blu-Ray discs any more - so unless that one is better in other ways I'll probably just use the GH22 drive as an external DVD drive.

I'm case it's relevant, I'll be looking to connect to HP Envy X360 15".

Thanks in advance 👍
