USB SATA Adapter Not Working

Status
Not open for further replies.
This is the second time I've bought an adapter for my hard disk and have it crap out on me after a while. Before I try to claim warranty I'd like to confirm if there's nothing I can do or if the problem is on my end.

The problem is that my HDD is not detected. It stopped working yesterday, eventhough just minutes before when plugging in on a different occassion the adapter worked just fine. I also notice that the power indicator for my adapter is off while the access indicator is on. Usually they are both on and I've only had the adapter for a month. HDD is an internal 2.5 inch model, leftover from an SSD upgrade for a laptop.
