I just happened to have my pc for a week. One day as I was playing games with some of my relatives my main monitor just turned off, my screen then with my game went to my other monitors but with very slow frames. I went to restart my pc but it had an update and I was forced to update. As I update my pc I got the “Your pc ran into a problem” and got the stop code: Critical Process Died. I search up a way to fix the problem but none of them works, none of the advanced options works either they put my back into the blue screen with the 2 options of “Shut Down” and “Advanced Options” I also had try to unplug my SSD and plug it back in to see if it would work but nothing. For some context before what happened to see the full story I did connect my old ssd and hard drive to my pc to transfer some of my data to my new pc. Please help me I had some trouble with pc for few weeks already and tried to solve it but I got nothing and this is my last resort.

Format a USB storage device with Ventoy.

Place hirens boot cd onto the drive.

Set your machine to boot from USB.

Then follow this tutorial.

Sorry for the late reply I attempted to pit Ventoy and Hiren, but it seems like I can only have one in there considering when I attempt to put the other one on it will erase all the data inside the usb stick

I was able to get Hiren into the usb, I used it and tried to follow the tutorial but ran into some problems such as not having the same files like the _restore after going to Windows System Information and other files that I don’t have.

If the computer is 1 week old why not return to store for warranty
For the reason of many things going on and my dad anger issues problem and things adding onto him, for how inconvenient timing things been going on this is adding another plate to the dishes for him that I wish for him not to hear about

we can try and save the files first if you want.
or
We can try a repair using a different method that you tried
or we can do a fresh install of windows.
Which would you like to try
Do you have an 8gb or larger usb stick we can wipe clean

Do you know the make and model of the computer E.G HP Dell etc
Or the make and model of the motherboard - for drivers

Then download the windows 10 tool – Minimum 8gig USB required

https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

and use that to reinstall windows.

Have only one drive connected

*** NB A reinstall will delete all data from the drive***

Here is an excellent youtube video on how to install win 10 from usb

How To Install Windows 10 From USB - YouTube

Before doing any install, it is a good idea to go to the support page for your system. Download the drivers you are going to need ie chipset, sound, video, wireless, etc. While win10 has a lot of native drivers, microsoft drivers are designed for ease of use and are NOT designed for any type of performance. Store these drivers on another usb or you can even just make a folder on your install usb when you are finished making the install usb. Copy the drivers into that folder.

When you are finished with the install, then install your drivers. Install the chipset first then the rest of them. Reboot each time when prompted.

Wow that seems like a lot and a bit complicated.. I will attempt but before then what will the option of the trying a different method to repair the problem would look like if you don’t mind me asking?

Ok look at the video
At 2.06 on that screen it shows repair option on the bottom left

Also if you do have to do a new install watch for when the computer reboots (2.56 on video) remove usb
whilst it is rebooting otherwise it restarts the install again
