Unknown problem, possibly GPU

The problem: while playing games, they can crash often and suddenly - no error message. It has happened with DOTA 2 and Civilization VI in specific. It can happen 5 times in an hour, or no times in four hours.

Possible problems: This started happening after I spilled beer on my PC. The computer was off at the time, and I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol - particularly the graphics card. The motherboard sits vertically, while the graphics card sits horizontally, so I only saw splattering on my GPU. I have since tried cleaning my GPU and my fans several times, and it does not help.

I ran Afterburner yesterday to try and find the problem and a huge power spike coincided with my crash.

My build: Windows 10 64 Bit
i5 3570K
8GB RAM
NVidea GeForce GTX 770
Samsung EVO 850 500 GB SSD (not exactly sure the name, that was my recollection)

While you wait for one of the hardware techs download and install SpeedFan

Then can you post your hardware tempratures please.

I noted you say you used rubbing alcohol,I do not think that was a good idea,you would of been better off removing any PCI slot hardware and drying/dabbing with a lint free cloth and dry mainboard,slots with the same type cloth.Then let it air dry over night and replace hardware.

My personal prefrence is to dry with a lint free cloth and I do know you can use isopropyl alcohol on a mainboard/CPU fan,etc.But as it was beer I would of stripped down and dried then leave it over night to air dry.Then use the isopropyl alcohol if any sticky residue the next day after it was all dry.Often enough a lint free cloth is enough and no need for the isopropyl alcohol.Did you remove the GPU,CPU fan etc and clean the slots,heatsink etc,let them dry fully before replacing them?

Or did you leave them in place and clean around them?

The beer may of caused damage to your hardware,it maybe crashing due to over heating.

But I am sure the guys/girls can help you further.

I left everything in place and cleaned where I saw splattering. I have since cleaned it two more times in the same fashion. You're right that I should try a more thorough go through. As I said, only my GPU sits horizontally so that was the only place I saw anything. I'm not necessarily 100% convinced the beer was the issue, but there seemed to be a correlation in the timing.

The beer may not of been an issue,I have known friends laptops be soaked in tea,beer,coke,tip them up on one side leave drain and air for a few days and no issues at all,but some are destined to the bin...

Thats why I ask for temprature readings,this could rule in or rule out overheating.Are you getting the shut down when your just running web browsers? Maybe playing music or underload when your playing games? If its only games could be a number of issues,have you simply tried updating the GPU hardware driver?

It could be you need to change settings,BIOS,any number of things could be causing the problem...

The GPU driver has remained up to date.

As I said, the only concrete issue is during games the game program crashes and it co-relates to a power spike reading in MSI Afterburner.

Your Auxiliary Input temps are dangerously high, close to overheating. This can definitely be the root cause of the crashes you're experiencing, especially since you mention it happens during gaming, which requires good cooling. What PSU do you have?

EDIT: Also, I have had overheating issues in the past, due to a dog who sheds far too much. I've removed as much of the pet fur as I can, and am intending on getting some compressed air for the harder to reach spots.
