Hi Guys
I hope someone can help me
Im trying to uninstall a program called dbpoweramp but it wont uninstaller, i have tried Add/Remove programs but i get this message "Windows cannot find C/Windows/system32/spoonuninstal.exe"
Also when i look in my c drive there is no windows folder

I should add that i transferred this file from my old pc to this one using Laplink PC Mover

Cheers

if you transferred it, it was probably not actually installed then.
but that doesn't explain why Add/Remove Programs shows it - unless you transferred everything over like Windows and the Registry.
I would install it so it puts all the files into the expected places then uninstall it.
other option is to use something like Revo uinstaller and remove all traces that way.

I had dbpoweramp some years back and it installed heaps of crap. Depending on how you made your original install, with the codecs you chose, will dictate how many actual install components may remain.

Would suggest yo try REVO uninstaller which has Hunter mode to uninstall stuff that may not uninstall in the usual way.

Alternatively as above Laplink may not have installed the program correctly when you attempted to move it from one PC to another. Trying to copy installed programs from one PC to another is a BAD way attempt to install stuff. There are two ways here to deal with this.

  1. Simply delete whatever you can find of dbpoweramp, not recommended as it will leave crap.
  2. Reinstall dbpoweramp via the usual manner, then uninstall it. This should remove it all. This is what you should do.
