Unexpected Account Registration Error (Google Hangouts) & Cannot Call Out (Google Voice)

Btw, I've decided to keep the Tablet.

I was able to receive calls on it by Hangouts then today, It wouldn't let me receive calls, keeps saying "Unexpected account registration error" & Google Voice keeps saying "Cannot Call Out" I've tried clearing data on Hangouts, uninstall updates on Google Play & Hangouts & cleared data on Play Services & tried Factory Resets & nothing seems to work. Any new ideas besides Upgrading my tablet?

Log into your account through a computer and see if you access you account and test if the same thing happens on Hangouts.

You may also try removing the account configration for Google totally and then re-add it ans see if that may clear it up.

Hangouts is not supported on Kitkat anymore. But you could try the following:

  • Go to: Settings -> Apps -> Swipe to "All" tab -> Scroll down to Hangouts
  • Click "Clear data", click "Clear cache"
  • Uninstall the app, or updates reverting back to stock.
  • Scroll to Play Services, clear cache.
  • Scroll to Play Store, clear cache
  • Restart the phone
  • Install the Hangouts app, or updates.
  • Open Hangouts, sign in again if prompted.
  • Retry

I tried doing that sir but that didn't work.

You're out of luck I'm afraid. You could try alternate software.

Using outdated software is a huge security risk. We can't be liable for such things, and if you choose to stick with older software that's your choice.
