Hi everyone,
I'm trying to change the OEM Dell logo in the "This Computer" properties under "system" following this guide: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/win...e-manufacturer-support-info-in-windows-vista/. I can change the fields just perfectly like make and model and support phone number, but when I pick a new logo, convert it to .bmp and resize it to 100x100 and put it in the exact place of the OEM logo, it just doesn't show up under This Computer Properties at all. Then, I'll restore the original, blurry logo with an extra Energy Star icon that I don't care for, it works perfectly. What could I possibly be doing wrong? I've tried this on 2 computers now. Thanks in advance...

I did not, but I don't think you have to because the one that Dell had setup from the factory was named "SystemImage.bmp" so I tried that name and "oemlogo.bmp" but neither worked.

Have you checked the info under the logo key in the registry? change the registry info for logo to point to the path shown in the guide, and then call it oemlogo.bmp. I have added a logo some time back and it was straight forward, Dell may have customized the registry though.
