uBlock Origin is excellent.
I used to use Ghostery until they sold out and allowed ads from companies willing to pay to be put on the whitelist.
Raymond Hill had a massive following and industry standard name for the popular uBlock but had differences with his coding partner Chris and went out on his own with uBlock Origin

I am unsure how it installed GitHub, that is where you download it from. In any case, you should be able to remove that easily. As GitHub is not invasive as you say. 👍

Strange, I removed Ublockorigin from my browser and re downloaded it from that link and Github did not install on my machine. I'd say just remove it.

I am glad that I have been able to draw the attention of the forum to Adblock and also to Github. I will leave it there. But thank you also for the help given.
Please now let me have the site to download a free adblocker that you all recommend. Is there one that takes care of the disastrous ads in Utube?

What browser do you use?

You can set this on your machine, and it will block ads across all browsers.

Easy to change the dns with this tool.

How does one download this to Windows 10 ? It peaks out at Windows 8.
