Ive found lcd screens for the non touch version, but i don't know if they would fit in mine.
I would have to say no. Then you are possibly out that money and if you can return it what percent or flat rate do they charge for restocking?
It is possible that the touch cable needs to be connected so as to make the circuit complete, not saying this with 100% certainty as some circuits regardless of what type they are will function when a component is not attached, a notebooks touch pad as one example.

Fans still blowing hot air and spinning. I retried the ram thing as well. Even that battery trick.
Tomorrow I will be handing it off to a relative where they will try and take a crack at it. If that fails I will pay someone to fix it if its a price I can afford.
I will update if it gets fixed or not and what the problem was if we figure it out.

Well a new back cover was ordered( so the hinges can actually be screwed in at all places) and the hinges where straighted out and loosened because they where extremely tight. The cover should hopefully arrive this week or the next and then the laptop can actually be put back together properly. I said before if I asked my relative for help it would take forever, and I was totally right.:thumbsup:

It is all back in one piece. It was magically able to be connected to an external monitor, but there is still nothing coming up on the laptops screen. Everything is still on it and every other part runs fine.
Last time I got the external monitor up it stopped connecting after I shut it down. But this time it still connects after being shut down. I tried replacing the screen once and the cord to the screen but that didn't work, So while we have ruled out a lot of things, we still have no idea why there isn't a anything showing up on the laptop screen.
