Pushed F9 on startup and went into recovery there. Have since seen that some files have remained but the programs installed are the ones that were on the laptop when I first bought it

What are you looking for help with Barry?

If looking for personal data on the HDD i`m afraid that if you have restored the computer back to factory settings using a recovery partition then all personal data will have been lost.
