How if possible can i make the Galaxy tab tethered (via usb cable) to a samsung S4 ,so i can use a screen share/mirroring between the two? I want to use the S4 power and have it show up on the Galaxy's tab screen for better viewing and function. I searched google but found little to help me with this. I have tried bluetooth and and not much in doing what i want.

Samsungs side sync would work if i had android 4.4 on the Tab,was looking for alternatives for that last nite.. Thanks Mal,tried looking that up last nite but that search was blocked.

Also i may have to put screen mirror app on this Tab..have not found one that is compatible with android 4.1 yet. Unless in this mod version,that dock overlay is the same thing..

Still wondering about an usb connection with some of these app's. It seems if i do wifi i would need to get as one option anyway samsung side sync 3.0 to put on the Tab and on the samsung S4.. Version 4 will not work..

While tethering is technically correct in terms of what you want to do it is incorrect. Tethering is a term for connecting two or more devices to a single device in order to access cell or Wi-Fi services. You might be more suited with something like Team Viewer to be able to share desktop or in this case Tablet screen. Something like this maybe??

I hope my rant has shed some light on your problem. As with any research on the Weird Wild InterWeb, it is using the correct terms and how you phrase a search query that gets you the most accurate results. If at first you bork the search try to think outside the banana peel. Or you could just think of another way to word your query. You wanted to connect/tether your devices together. For what purpose? To mirror one device screen to the other. Try this search query,(Mirror the screen of one Android device to another Android device.);)
