Tesco Staff and being Welsh...

I rarely get out an about these days, due to weather as the electric wheelchair and rain do not gel or constant ill health I am stuck at home.
I cannot feel hot or cold either,so today was another frosty day so I thought as long as I am careful and wrap up warm I can do a road trip to the small local town centre.
So it took me a while to get dressed but I managed to get to Ammanford,do a little shopping for the boys (three small breed dogs).I bought a burger from the burger van,I usually have onions but he had burnt them black.
I popped into Wilko and bought a items for the boys and they had a complete mop half price,£3-00,bargain so I bought it.
So off to Tesco supermarket I went,as entered the main doors I was holding the mop and I parked by the hand baskets,I tried putting the mop on the back of my wheelchair so I could have a free hand, nope,I will have to carry it resting on my foot rest.
Now the security man was behind his desk watching the monitor so he seen me enter with my mop and a few bags on the back of my wheelchair. So I was on CCTV entering the store.
So I bought cat food, dog food, clothes hangers,a staff member got down some bread mixes from the top shelf for me.
I even rescued two gentlemen trying to get past a woman who had parked her shopping trolly across the isle blocking it,I called out excuse me,she did not even blink,I called out even louder excuse me.Nope no reaction.I called a third time and she moved her trolly and as I passed by and the two gentlemen could pass I winked held my arms out and said thats how you do it,we laughed and they thanked me.
So I paid for my goods and as I was packing them the male Tesco staff member on the till and a female customer stated to each other that I had NOT paid for the mop,now I bought this mop in a different store and had proof of purchase.I went red,I blushed, they are accusing me of stealing,me being me I just rode away towards the door. But there was the security guy,he had come from behind his desk stood lent up against his desk, arms folded,I was frightened he was going to pounce on me for shoplifting,he was waiting for the alarm to go of for this stolen mop.The alarm never went off because the mop was from another store.
I cried on the way home.
BUT your thinking where is the Welsh bit,ahh well you see they thought the idiot in the wheelchair could not understand the Welsh language, you know us disabled people are brain dead.
They had actually spoke in Welsh to each other thinking I did not understand what they where saying,I understand fully what they said.
Life is hard enough for some of us without others knocking our confidence in such a way.

I am not a thief,i would never steal from anyone let alone a supermarket with CCTV.
All staff member on the till had to do was say what about the mop and I would of produced proof of purchase. But to accuse me to another customer of theft is a disgrace..

Do I have to ask the security guy to check my bags when I enter the store so I do not get accused of stealing again?

Sigh, just another day in the Beans life.

My neice phoned today, lets just say she is not happy with the way I was treated...

In my family I am classed as Miss Goody Two Shoes. I would never shame myself by stealing from a store in my own village, everyone would know with in minutes.I just would not do it anywhere.

At the moment I feel I uncomfortable of entering the store again.Give it time and I may feel strong enoughto go in there or take someone with me for support.
I watched a show on TV some time ago how people pretended to be disabled, borrowed a wheelchair, put a blanket over their legs and shoplifted by putting items under the blanket.I no longer take a blanket,i would rather wear thicker socks and a bigger coat, just so genuine disbled are not treated as criminals.

I wonder how people are judged on their looks, clothes etc and deemed something they are now?
