Solved System Bios - Enabling Intel SGX

Not exactly sure where this should go so if it need be moved, appreciate it and I apologize.

I recently upgraded my PC so I can play newer games on higher settings and watch 4K movies. CyberDVD20 is telling me I need to download Intel SGX to watch UHD Blu-Rays but when I attempt to download, I get an error saying I need to enable it in my BIOS if my BIOS allows it. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F mother board and an AMD 7 3700X processor. Installed an Nvidia RTX 2080ti for my GPU. Anyone knowledgeable with this MB know if it allows one to enable SGX in the BIOS. If not, is there any other way anyone knows of to read a UHD Blu-Ray disc? I have a UHD disc reader, I have the software which is capable... but this one little thing is making this very frustrating.

Thank you in advance for any and all help.

I followed the advice and enabled SVM in the BIOS and it didn't fix my issue. When I try to play a 4k movie through CyberDVD20 and attempt to download Intel SGX, it says either my BIOS has it disabled (my BIOS has no option for it) or my system is not compatible (asssumingly because I do not have an Intel build).

Hi,

You need to enable AMD Secure Virtual Machine in your motherboards BIOS, How to enable Intel VTx and AMD SVM.

After its enabled see if there is any change.

I have ensured I have the latest drivers. I can play regular BluRays and DVDs as well as watch other video formats. Stream Netflix and YouTube in 4k. Just cannot play the UHD BluRays.

Have you installed the latest drivers for your NVIDIA 2080Ti video card from NVIDIA's website? Can you try playing regular DVD's and see if they play?

Can you play regular videos online?

@Evan Omo Tried that but for some reason, even though I have an actual UHD player, it said I had an outdated disc drive. That being said, this led down a rabbit hole which led me to MakeMKV and someone having an installation guide for flashing the driver to the drive in a way which enables LibreDrive. This allowed me to rip my UHD movie from the disc and now I can watch it on my TV :) Finally! One heck of a work around because they make it so darn hard to watch a 4k movie I legally purchased at home.
