Suggested cmos fan settings?

Hi everyone

I have a very old ibuypower pc that's been working like a charm for nearly 10 years. Recently the fans have been making a loud noise when i turn it on. I got it to stop week ago by tapping on it. Its a dumb move but it seemingly worked cause i first saw in a YouTube vid or two. My question is what is the suggested settings to put in the cmos setup utility for H/W monitor? My settings are attached. I had a picture of saved settings that solved the problem years ago but i lost that in a hard drive failure.

Ok i have been running it while i type this and now its quiet now. But can anyone still help me with suggestions for this menu? Much appreciated.

Which fans, do you know?
At 10 years, maybe consider not only replacing, but upgrading to better fans.
A good quality fan can be around $20 so not a huge outlay.

As to BIOS settings, I set mine to whatever noise level is acceptable to keep the temp below 40, or at most 50 degrees.
 
@Bruce sorry for delay. it sounds like the front of the tower has two large fans. i definitely wanna replace this dinosaur of a computer. but unfortunately im having a hard time saving up for it with bills and slow sales on ebay. its making that loud noise right now. it used to just do that after rebooting and lasting for a couple minutes. i usually play music while im on computer so im not sure how long this has been happening tbh.

my computer is so old it uses CMOS settings which is the same way ypu would go into BIOS. so i assume CMOS is the old name f or it? i can definitely check with ibuypower and see if they can give me the suggested fan settings. but in meantime i will look into those new fans.
 
You could also take off the side cover from the tower and use a soft bristled brush to push into those fans to stop the blades. That'll pinpoint the fan causing the noise.
Also tighten the screws holding the fan to the chassis in case you are simply getting a vibration rattle.
May also be the bearing in the fan, and removing the fan and spraying the bearing with some WD40 can be a quick, temporary solution.
