strings of gibberish in my gmail

Whenever I send an email, the recipient receives a long string of gibberish before the actual message, as in the attached screenshot. I thought my gmail account might''ve been corrupted so I created a new account, but it's still doing the same thing. Does anyone have any idea as to the problem & solution?

it's not gibberish, it's HTML code tags.
in it's place should be a graphic, or picture, or formatted text saying something along the lines "this email is virus free".
there must be some sort of HTML to plain text conversion taking place for some reason.
you could also try to turn of the email certification in your AVG/Avast settings.
