SSD issue

I recently put my windows 10 SSD OS drive from my old windows 10 Dell XPS into my new windows 11 dell XPS. The new computer did not see the drive even when booting into the bios. I am told it is because the new UEFI bios for windows 11 is not compatible with windows 10. But the issue is it did something to the drive because now it does not work in my windows 10 computer. When booting up I get a black screen with “press f1 to boot” and of course when I press f1 nothing happen. Ant ideas?

And taking the old SSD out, the new PC boots OK again?

I'd be putting that SSD into an external enclosure, not only to recover any data if it is still readable, but to also reformat it completely, deleting all the partitions and converting it to a GPT drive (if not already).

The external enclosure is handy to have, for this sort of thing, plus it can be used for external backups.
They cost about $20.
