So, I was wanting to upgrade my pc parts. So I went out and got a i5 9600k, Z390 Gaming plus, and a new chassis. And I took everything from my old chassis out and into the new one. So I got to put it in, and I've had it for about a week now, and everything works fine. But everything from my old SSD and HDD is still on the drives and I cannot access them, or delete any of the old stuff. I've went to my control panel and the storage panel in the settings menu. I was told to format my drive, but what does that entail?

(Here is what my storage setting looks like)

Did your "old ssd and hdd" have windows on either one? And did you install another drive for your operating system.

Can you go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk management and take a screenshot of the full expanded drive list

Formatting prepares the disc for Windows to use. You can format the disc by right clicking it in File Explorer and selecting format. WARNING formatting will permanently delete anything already on the disk.

You have a very small C (boot drive) which is nearly full, and you have a D drive which is also nearly full. Is there any data on D drive that you want?

If you have no clue can you enlist that someone to perhaps install a bigger C drive and format/repartition the D drive

It appears that the operating system was installed on that 2gb drive that is now d drive. Probably the easiest way to get your data off it is to boot your pc with a linux distro and copy what you want. Linux should see the files.

Is it a big deal to get you game fresh again?
