Hello Forum,

I am writing this post because I don't know how to fix my problem and tried so much solution regarding this issue
I hope that dsomeone will bring me light and solution, I explain my issue :

I am using a low price laptop from ONDA, XIaoma 21, it has a Intel Apollo Lake Celeron N3450 CPU, and Windows 10 with 64 bits, and is a good little machine.

I tried earlier to change my Audio drivers ( in the device manager, it said that the audio is somehow a Realtek HD audio, combined with Intel and something in Chinese...)

I downloaded the last Realtek HD audio drivers from the official Realtek link, and installed them, the program uninstalled my previous drivers and tried to inject the new ones,
but stopped saying that there was an error, or drivers were not the accurate ones for my material.

from that time, I don't have audio working anymore, I don't have any audio peripherals recognized in the volume panel neither, and the windows device manager shows

multimedia audio controller not recognized with this written :

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

I have to tried to erase my windows system and install a clean new windows, nothing work.
I tried to desactivate reactivate the audio controller from the panel, not working, I tried to force the intall/update of the driver for a new peripheral in the windows device manager,
but windows doesn't find any drivers for my audio controller.
I tried to find the drivers from realtek and downloaded the HD audio drivers, AC97 drivers, for Windows 64, not working, controller not recognized.
I tried to find the original drivers from Onda, but the link for them, is not working, so cannot be downloaded.
I found on Techtablets some drivers for my laptop model, but when I tried to start the realtek drivers install program, it stopped and log errors of installation like :
packages location not found...
I haven't made and restore points so I cant go back to the original drivers before using the new realtek install.

I just really ont know how to recover my SOunf back, as I am not using my computer anymore, it is for me a major issue.

if you have ideas about how to install properly my audio sound inside my laptop, ill be more than happy to try... I am stocked and have made already windows installs and have lost my datas several time. I am still at the same point, no audio in my laptop

thank you

Gregory

Welcome to PCHF GregoryG,

So everything is working except the audio, if yes, download and run DriverMax (free) to see if it recommends any audio drivers for your computer, if it does, post back and let us know what is suggested, do not download anything just in case something else needs to be installed before any audio drivers that may be available, DriverMax info below, be sure to read the attached Note regarding download limits.

DriverMax 9.41 Review & Free Download

Note: DriverMax can only download two drivers per day and 10 drivers per month, and can only download one driver at a time. You can still check for outdated drivers but you're limited to how many you can actually download. I talk more in my review about why this isn't as bad of a limit as it might sound.

UPDATE :

DriverMax helped me to somehow recognize my audio Hardware to a generic state.
I used to update one f the 2 AUdio materials detected with Realteck Drivers, now sound is working back
but I still have in the device manager 1 Intel High Definition DSP with orange sign and !

would you have any ideas about this one ???

Thank you very much for your concern,
I installed and ran DriverMax, program said that he found an update for the :
The ;ulti;edia audio controller from the device manager became Intel High definition Audio and Intel High Definition DSP ( I have now 2 devices with orange sign and the !
Still no sound, not working.

You will not get any sound without any drivers installed which should not have been done yet, we need to try and determine which is the correct audio device.

Question, why did you change your drivers in the first place, were you already having the no sound issue.

You will note that no Realtek audio drivers have been suggested.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

You would have been better to post the above after I had replied, we do not get any notification of edits to posts only to replies.

You have audio back now so your original request for help has been answered so this thread will be marked as solved.

do not download anything just in case something else needs to be installed before any audio drivers that may be available,

If you need help with anything else start a new thread and to avoid any mishaps in the future please only follow the steps suggested by the person helping you and not go off and do things that you were asked not to, you got lucky this time but next time you could end up with a computer that will not even boot.
