In the past 4 days my pc is running so, but so much slow that I can't understand, everything turned so much laggy for no reason.
I haven't done much with my pc on this month, so I don't know why this issue started, I already reseted my pc, defragmented the disk, runned the windows ram memory diagnostic, I have my drivers always updated because of driver booster 9, checked the cpu and gpu heat, checked the performance in the task manager and it's literally everything okay, but it keeps running so slowly to open softwares, loading pages, and in my case that I use After Effects, loading a project and changing an effect takes years, I really don't know what to do more and I need suggestions.
I literally run only 6 programs on my pc, Opera GX, Discord, Spotify, Lightshot Logitech Hub (only these are enough to make some lag) and After Effects.
Here's my specs if needed: Cpu: AMD Ryzen 1600x, GPU: Rx580, 16GB RAM, MotherBoard: B450M, 650w Kolink font

Step 1:

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.

Checkmark following boxes:
Flush DNS
Reset FF proxy Settings
Reset Ie Proxy Settings
Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)

Click Go and Attach the log in your reply.

Step 2:Speccy Scan.
  • Please go here and download Speccy.
  • Install and run the program.
  • Upon Completion:
  • Hit File
  • Publish Snap Shot
  • A link will appear, post that link.

Step 3: Autoruns Scan.
Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe
After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save
The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option.
in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

I have my drivers always updated because of driver booster 9

This likely is at least part of your issue, if not the entire issue. I highly suggest that you uninstall this snake oil program. I installed my windows 7 years ago, and have only updated my graphics drivers. There is no need to constantly update drivers on a computer.

Alright, I may have found the actual problem here, I have a NZXT M22 Watercooler, and the cpu is running at 75º doing nothing which is a very high temperature already doing absolutely nothing (even though I know how my ryzen 5 processors have high temperatures) , and ALSO 75º while using After Effects or other heavy programs but the thing I noticed is that when the temperature gets higher, the CPU automatically reduces the Speed in Mhz, which leads to my pc lag like that, I literally found this a couple of hours ago while I was rendering a project and the motherboard alarm started, even after cleaning it keeps doing the same problem and the temperature is still high for no reason, I have a pretty decent watercooler the temperature on my room is not even high and I never did an overclock, the only option left that I know is changing the thermal paste (Im pretty sure it's been more than a year I changed it), other than that I don't know what more I can do..

While my pc is running smoothly the speed rounds 2/3ghz,

And when it's lagging, it's stuck on 0.6ghz

The temperature is stuck on 75º, all the time, I don't know if it's the actual issue, It's just a possibility I found, anyways thanks for the reply

@PeterOz

That's definitely some high temps. Do you have a box fan, or a small fan that you can use to bring down the temps? Perhaps open the case and put the fan blowing into the computer, to test the issue.....

Can you post the link from speccy and the minitool box log please.

Yeah those temps certainly are not good. I'll tag another member who deals with hardware issues. But since it's sat night I doubt he will reply today.

@Bruce

I was thinking this might be a software issue, I am not very good with hardware problems hopefully one of the members I tagged here will chime in. :)

Thank you so much for the help anyways, have a good night.

when you say you reset your PC, how exactly?
reset keeping your files and apps or reset keeping nothing?

the best 'reset' is to use the Windows Media Creation Tool to make a bootable USHB stick with the latest Windows image on it.
boot the PC with this stick connected, and BIOS set to boot from USB first, and that will load a fresh version of Windows onto a completely clean drive.

best way to a) remove any damage that crap piece of malicious software called Drive Booster may have caused and b) you'll have a clean slate to work from.

so reload Windows and run the rig to test for speed and temps.
if slow at this stage you have a hardware issue - faulty memory or graphics card would be most likely.
unlikely to be thermal paste if it's only one year old and applied properly initially - but yeah, worth a shot, renew it.

also try leaving the 2TB HDD disconnected, and running only on one memory stick, and if you can, get your hands on another GPU.

DriverBooster is literally an IObit program it's clearly not the issue even though I uninstalled it, and Im 100% sure it's only my processor's fault, not the graphics card or memory.
Looking at Ryzen Master, when I turn on the pc and leave it idle it stays on 35º/40º, with 2-3Ghz average, and a few minutes after opening a browser and discord it peaks to 75º and 0.6GHz, which causes extreme lag. I always notice that when it starts to get smoothly, the speed goes up to 2-3Ghz, so I found my issue.

I'll take it to a technic support since im sure that the problem is the processor, I have a pretty decent watercooler and refrigeration, the fans are running at max speed and perfectly fine, I cleaned up the PC dust and it keeps heating, but anyways thanks for the help!

Which is junk/trash software. There is no need to constantly update drivers. Trust me after years of helping on forums, I've seen these types of programs destroy many many computers. Although it may or may not be the issue here, I'd suggest that you never use it again. Since you seem to have found the issue, then I'll mark this as solved in 24 hours. Unless you have something else to add.
