Hello, I am connected to my internet through Realtek RTL8192EE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC, and for some reason my internet is just so poor on my PC. For instance my Xbox, which is next to my PC, downloads games at 50/60mpbs but my PC is barely at 1.5mpb/s and was just wandering why this was and if I could fix this soon? I bought a network extender which did pretty much nothing to both PC and Xbox and was going to buy a TP Link but didn't really want to waste more money. Thank you for any help/answers and stay safe.

PS. My router is downstairs so cannot have a wired connection

on the PC, when you go to speedtest.net website, what speeds does it show?
have you rebooted the PC and modem/router?

what is the make/model of the modem/router?

to either rule out (rule in) the wifi connection, take the PC downstairs to the router and connect it via an ethernet cable.
than you'll know if it's simply a wireless thing or something particular with the PC.

I appreciate the fast reply, on the speedtest website my download Speed is 20mbps and upload is 16. I'm not sure on the make but we recently had someone fit a new Router which was a newer make. My network is Sky. Hope this helps thank you

20Mbps is pretty low for a fast DSL connection.
add to that others on the same network, wifi speed and distance, and bandwidth and your PC's 1.5Mbps could just be a time of day thing or the norm.

would still like to see the PC relocated and the connection changed to ethernet.
