Screen Shut Down While Playing + Sounds too

Status
Not open for further replies.
Greetings,
In some games the screen momentarily turns off for 1~2 seconds and comes back. I'm not an engineer so I'm hoping to make a sense that I can only write the signs that I notice when I have the issue. I'd like to detail my problem point to point so if you are bored to read just skip to the last chapter there will be my PC details and a video when I had the problem at the end of my post also a summary of my problem.

Firstly, I don't experience this problem in every game just like The Witcher 3 and PUBG and also in EU4 which requires less GPU but more CPU (I think so) so I don't think that the the problem is insufficient display card. Interestingly, I had the problem while playing dota 2 and lowered the video/graphic quality and never had it again so the problem is kinda related to graphics features. I think there is a graphic function and let's call it "x" and The x causes some problem with my PC or Monitor.

Secondly, I'm also experiencing the same shutdown issue: when the screen size of the game is different from the screen size that I normally use on the monitor, for example;
  • Normally Display: 1920-1080
  • In the game: 1280-960
In such cases, when I get out of the game and return to the desktop, the problem arises. Maybe this is not a problem but still I wanted to write it, it can be related to my issue.

Finally, let me write more technical expressions.
  1. I checked the video card fans, no problem.
  2. The video card is heating up to max 70° no more and having the problem even in 60°.
  3. I updated the video card's driver and nothing is changed
  4. When the screen shuwdowns, the sound shutdowns too.
LAST CHAPTER

I have the problem when I play some games, The monitor turns off for a second and comes back. It mostly happens when there are different graphic things in the game.

In the video, you will see that function. It changes the visual reality so maybe when I press V and the new vision happens, only in 2 sec the screen shutdowns.

I know this is not the answer you need but I do not know that function I just know what I see.

I said it doesn't happen in every game for example PUBG and The Witcher 3 (I don't play PUBG for months but it didn't happen at the time I play it). However I just played The Witcher 3 and it happened 2 times in 10 minutes. I installed that game a week ago and played almost 100 hours. I guess with this new game, Watch Dogs 2, it happened too much and caused more damage? So I guess we can say the problem occurs in every game for now.

Also with Dota 2, I have 1,276 hours play. I started to play dota after I bought this PC, at the beginning, I had same problem for 1 or 2 times in a day so I lowered the graphics andit never happened again. I'm afraid of having it in Dota 2 too for now... Just happened in Witcher..

I created this topic in 5 different forum and you are the only one who replied. I guess in this situation more detail made more confuse.

Anyway, I got an idea. I think PSU is guilty for all of this. The display card is not working properly because the PSU's energy is insufficient. Maybe instant graphical changes, just like in the video, increase the need of energy for a second and PSU can not give it to the display card so the display card can not give signal to the monitor for a second and my screen turns off. Does it make sense? Why I think my PSU is problem is that my PSU's brand has really bad prestige. It is Frisby Foem 500W (probably it's a local brand, not in EU)

You are currently still seeking help elsewhere, please do not as possible conflicting advice may make the situation worse. Let us know if you would like to continue here or elsewhere?
First of all, Loyalty for a website is not top of my priorities. I came here and some other forums to hear an expert opinion. What is the point posting only in one forum for 20 viewers instead of in X forum for 20x viewers. One can know that the other one doesn't. This is not an art, literature or a product for only this website. It's just an ask for a problem. One must be able to ask for help in different places. Only if I copy your reply for another website would be disrespectfull for stealing your work but in this case we are not talking about it.

Posting twice was not my purpose. I created a topic and turn back to see my topic name in the category but my topic was gone. I guess it was waiting for admin permission but I didn't know it. I refreshed the page a few times but nothing happened, so I thought I created the topic in wrong category and created a new one in different category.

Which is a real pity as our loyalty is to our members new or old and the very reason why gus asked if you would like to continue here or go elsewhere was because he has your best interests at heart, nothing wrong with getting a second opinion after you have a first but troubleshooting on more than one forum at the same time can often end in disaster and then a subsequent blame game.

We would rather members stayed with PCHF but if they choose to go elsewhere all we can do is wish them good luck.

I can understand that you need assistance as not every forum will respond quickly to your issue but from our perspective its disrespectful since this can make it harder for us tech's to know what things you have tried in troubleshooting the issue. We don't want to be offering advice either that you may have already tried from one of those other forums and it doesn't allow us to help you as efficiently because we have no way of verifying to see if the suggested information was helpful or not.

Having one thread on one forum allows us to see all the troubleshooting steps that have taken place so we can better assist you in an organized way. We are not trying to criticize you as we understand that this issue is frustrating for you but we would like to pick one forum and stick to it so that we can offer the best advice possible to get your issue resolved.

If you want to continue with getting help here we can would be happy to assist you but please let us know.
