My screen randomly faded to black while I was just browsing. When I restart and start it up the msi logo appears then it fades back to black with a few blue lines in the middle.

Tried a new hdmi cord and unplugging and replugging my gpu.

This is what it looks like

did you actually remove the GPU from the motherboard or just the HDMI cable out from the GPU port?
if not, remove the card and clean its circuit board, its contact points and the motherboard slot with a soft bristled brush.

as a test, if the processor and motherboard support it, use the onboard graphics port instead of the add-on card.

in case it's the monitor, can you get your hands on another unit for testing.

Tested another gpu and same issue. Took out ram and reinserted same issue. Tried windows shift D or whatever and nothing. Anytime I turn it on the screen just fades into black.
