Screen going black for a second repeatedly.

It did start after the windows 11 update.
Roll back to a time before the update with system restore or remove update


Remove an installed Windows update​

If you've recently installed a Windows update, uninstall the update to try to resolve the issue.
  1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates .

  2. On the list that appears, select update you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.

I've had the laptop connected to the TV (TCL Smart TV) for a number of hours yesterday and a few days before and it didn't flash once, I've just connected it back to the Acer monitor and it's flashing and is black most of the time.

The Acer monitor was used with another laptop and was fine the whole time.
