repeatedly BSOD

Hello,
My ntb Asus R556L are repeatedly go to BSOD. Stop code is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I tried clean instal but its not helped. Crystal disk and memtest were okay. I tried windbg with result in bluescree.txt. Also I added 3 minidumps. Can someone help me please?

Welcome to PCHF czechfant,

Two of your three crash dmps are CPU related and the other is a problem with DirectX which if you have on die HD video on your CPU could also be a symptom of an issue with the processor.

If you are doing any overclocking stop.


If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

There is a problem with the CPU flagged in Speccy namely an Intel software update that cannot be installed and probably down to the reason explained below;

Your most pressing issue;

Partition 2
Partition ID: Disk # 0, Partition # 2
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 74FB0AF6
Size: 930 GB
Used Space: 38 GB (3%)
Free Space: 892 GB

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available as free storage space at all times, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which puts you at risk of malware attack.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can and get yourself a means of backing up to, post back when you have between 20 and 25% free storage on the C: drive/partition and we can go from there.

I dont understand. I have 97% free storage.
 
We can check this another way in Disk Manager, can you do the below, open Disk Manager to full screen, then grab a screenshot and upload it for us.

Access Disk Management via Run.

Press the Windows+R keys to open Run, type diskmgmt.msc in the empty box then press OK.

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... after typing in any response you have... click on Upload a File to add the screenshot.

Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”.

Check your CPU with the Intel tool which you can download from Intel here

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.
 
CPU looks to be ok at least.

To see if we can identify any driver conflicts please refer to the copy/paste details below provided courtesy of jcgriff2 (y)

1.
Create a Windows System Restore Point -

Vista - START | type rstrui - create a restore point
Windows 7 - START | type create | select "Create a Restore Point"
Windows 8/ 8.1 - Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows*8) | HP® Support
Create a system restore point Applies to: Windows 10

2. Run Driver Verifier -

- Windows 7 & Vista - START | type verifier
- Windows 8.1 & 8 - Press WIN +X keys | select "Command Prompt (Admin)" | type verifier

Make these selections -
1.
Select 2nd option - Create custom settings (for code developers)
2. Select 2nd option - Select individual settings from a full list
3. Check these boxes -

▪ Special Pool
▪ Pool Tracking
▪ Force IRQL checking
▪ Deadlock Detection
▪ Security Checks (new as of Windows 7)
▪ Concurrency Stress Test (new as of Windows 8)
▪ DDI compliance checking (new as of Windows 8)
▪ Miscellaneous Checks

4. Select last option - Select driver names from a list
5. Click on the Provider heading - sorts list by Provider
6. Check ALL boxes where "Microsoft" IS NOT the Provider
7. Click on Finish
8. Re-boot[/HIDE]


- If the Driver Verifier (DV) finds a violation, it will result in a BSOD



- After re-start, you may not be able to log on to normal Windows

... • Boot into SAFEMODE - tap the F8 key repeatedly during boot-up

... • Select "System Restore"

... • Choose the restore point that you created in step #1



- For Driver Verifier status

--- select last option, 1st screen -or-

--- type verifier /query (in a cmd/DOS screen)

- To turn Driver Verifier off - verifier /reset then re-boot


- The Driver Verifier needs to run as long as possible - even if the status screen appears clear.

- All future BSOD dumps must be VERIFIER_ENABLED_MINIDUMPs - otherwise the dump(s) are of no use


If your system does BSOD while the Driver Verifier is running, please retrieve the dump file from c:\windows\minidump and attach it to your next reply.

Please note that Driver Verifier may need to be left running for up to 72hrs, you should use the computer as you normally would and DV will not affect this unless a BSOD occurs.
 
Same steps for Windows 10 as for 8 but you will not get all the same options in Windows 10 as you do in 8.

NB: The above is the old version that I used not realising that I still had it :whistle:
 
The above crash is from Thursday, is that the only one and why the wait to post it?

No drivers involved and the problem is again pointing towards the CPU, are you overclocking it.

Unstable voltage going to the CPU could cause what we are seeing.

What was the computer being used for when it crashed.

A test for you to do, change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced and then test, gaming will not be good but we need to see if dropping the voltage makes things more stable.

Can you also check the Device Manager for any yellow ! or red Xs.
 
First BSODs was when i play FIFA20 or do sotheming diffuilcut. Now crash is when i use only firefox.

While you are having these computer issues it would be an ideal opportunity for you to learn to find your way around Windows a bit more, the first thing that you should check when troubleshooting is the Device Manager, see example in the attachment below.

As per the instructions in my reply #10

- To turn Driver Verifier off - verifier /reset then re-boot
