Hi @Aviciinator and welcome to PCHF
Did you add any new hardware recently?
What brand and make of computer is it?
Hi Aviciinator, Welcome to PCHF!
Have you backed up your data on the hard drive or SSD on that machine?
Press F1 to enter the Recovery Environment. Then when that is done click on Troubleshoot > Advanced Options and try running System Restore to restore the computer to an earlier restore point. If that does not work go back into the Advanced Options and this time select Command Prompt.
In Command Prompt at the System Recovery Options area run each of these commands and see if you can then get the computer to boot up properly.
See if the computer boots up successfully but if not then your other option would be to perform a clean install of Windows 10.
- Bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
- BootRec.exe /fixmbr
- BootRec.exe /fixboot
- sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows
- chkdsk C: /r
is there a way to reinstall the OS without losing all my stuff?
You can use the live version of Linux to back up data then do the clean install.I really dont want to have to reinstall and I have unbacked up data, and wanna try everything first.
You will have to download Windows 10 and burn the ISO file to a USB flash drive and boot from that, then perform a clean install of Windows 10 after backing up your data. You can download Windows 10 from here, Download Windows 10.
Everytime I try to press F1 it just restarts on its own and takes me back to the same blue screen. Doesn’t even show the Recovery environment, just immediately restarts upon F1.
