I'm probably posting this in the wrong forum - I seem to do that a lot. I need to set up a video call ("conferencing") with one or two people (one at a time). The other person can be on an iphone or a computer - probably doesn't matter to him which. I would rather try to manage to use my Android for this - which would be probably easiest to do, and I wouldn't have to buy a camera for my computer - but my understanding is that then I'd have to use google DUO on my Android to set up/connect the video call. And then I'd be giving google all of my contact information that they would track. (I use duckduck on my computer for searches to not give google anything to track). I'd appreciate experience and recommendations about which software to use. I know DUO will run on my computer but it's again giving google the keys to my life (so to speak). I looked at ZOOM but I saw there are some people recounting real security & privacy issues - like encryption keys being given to others and something called "zoom bombing". There's also Skype and webex. So here's where someone's good experience with any of these these, or any program - or warning about any - would be so helpful (android or computer). I'm trying to avoid guessing which to use and then picking a wrong one or one that's cumbersome to use, going down a whole setup path and then having to change it and start all over. I know most people seem to not have problems choosing one program/method but they're more capable than me to roll with whatever happens afterwards.
