Reboot and select proper boot device

So I'm very average when it comes to computers and today when I turned on my pc I got the "reboot and select proper boot device" so I turned to YouTube and found a few videos and tried to change settings in the bios. Nothing was working so like a fool I went into the Advanced setting and enabled fast boot but now my keyboard isn't responding so I can't get back into the bios.

Is there a way to get back to bios or have I just cooked my pc

how is keyboard connected, wireless, bluetooth, PS/2 cable or USB cable?

as to 'select proper boot device' - typically its the current boot drive has failed or you have a bootable medium connected to the PC like a USB storage device or DVD in the tray.
