Yes. But we discussed regards the CPU, and not the motherboard as well IIRC.
Oddly according to MSI support that memory is compatible with the motherboard so I'm totally confused.😕.
Anyhow.... The system has not black screen rebooted since rebooting during the cumulative windows 10 install. System was set up as per your instructions. That was a week ago. I'm really not sure what to do next... Would welcome advice. Should I just leave and see what happens, and surmise either reseating hardware or clean installed windows has cured it.
Also the odd issues with the bios, where the manual states options disabled as standard on resetting the bios they are not disabled but enabled ??
Would you guys like to see anything further. Appreciate all your help so far.

Nope, what I recalled is the above

What this effectively means, it doesn't matter that the MB can handle a faster speed of RAM the CPU can`t and without a working CPU the system falls over.

Never mess with a stable PC but do keep your fingers crossed when a misbehaving PC starts to behave.

So I should leave alone now??. If starts to misbehave again, replace the memory as a first step.
 
Correct but don`t forget to reset the MBs default factory settings after fitting the new RAM and before booting into Windows for the first time since adding any new correct spec of RAM.

In your experience would switching off fast startup have any bearing on the stability as that's all we have done extra to reinstalling windows.
Sorry 1 last thing, should we be worried about the Com errors?
 
Yes, one of the first things that you should do when troubleshooting any problem computer is to check for anything that supposedly enhances performance, this includes but is not exclusive to Fast Boot, XMP/EXPO and even the lame Ultra and High Performance Windows Power Plan options.

No, Windows is throwing up errors all the time and the only ones that need attention are the red ones that are marked as Critical, in all honesty the average user should stay away from the Event Viewer because if they knew what they were doing they would know what needed looking into and because they don`t know what they are doing they start worrying about things that are causing them no trouble.
 
Hi. Well the stability has continued, unsure why but obviously nothing else to do with it at the moment. If starts again I will replace memory as a start.
